Multiple Object Tracking

Multiple Object Tracking

Detection, Tracking and Discrimination of Multiple Objects

Highlights

  • tracking 6-10 targets at very high speeds (>200 frames/sec)
  • identifying individual targets or target classes based on morphological features, speed or temporal signature
  • building of target tracks from measurements to analyze past behavior
  • transforming measurement coordinates into real-world units for interfacing with external systems

Industry

  • virtual gaming
  • virtual firearms training
  • UAV/UGV
  • security/defense

Description

Utilizing its Cellular Visual Technology (CVT) AnaLogic/Eutecus has developed software and hardware components to enable the implementation of high-speed vision systems capable of accurately tracking multiple objects, even at extremely high speeds.

Building on the capabilities of the Bi-i smart camera platform (also embedding CVM/CNN microprocessors), complex target-track to measurement association algorithms were implemented to improve the accuracy of the tracking system in difficult scenarios, such as object occlusions and measurement ambiguity.

AnaLogic/Eutecus has made the functions for multi-target tracking available to application developers as part of its platform-independent InstantVision software libraries.

The solutions can be easily generalized to a wide variety of multiple object tracking problems - the InstantVision libraries running on the Bi-i system, or on another platform, ensure rapid application prototyping.
